Crooked Tree Yoga & Therapy has been serving Acme and the surrounding communities and areas, since 1997.  We specialize in Mindful Yoga and Meditation, Yoga Therapy, Life Coaching, Reiki, Stress Management Practices, and Spiritual Mentoring.  Group classes and individual sessions are available.

Margaret Magner is the Director of Cooked Tree and began her formal practice in 1970 with her training in Transcendental Meditation.  For the last 38 years this practice of meditation has formed the foundation of her personal and professional evolution.

Margaret has a B.A. in Psychology and is a lifelong student of metaphysics and philosophy.  It was her interest in spirituality and metaphysics that first led her to study hatha yoga in 1993.  In 1997, in the ancient tradition of yoga, her teacher invited her to begin teaching.  In 1998 she completed her training and certification in yoga therapy and officially opened her own practice.  She holds a teaching certification from a mentor-based six year course of study with her teacher and continues her studies both locally and with nationally recognized masters.  Margaret is registered with the Yoga Alliance. 

Margaret has fifteen years of experience teaching yoga and meditation and currently teaches in Acme at Crooked Tree Yoga & Therapy, Northwestern Michigan College and several other locations as well.  Margaret is the mother of two wonderful daughters.

Margaret's greatest joy in doing this work is in witnessing and supporting each student as they grow and discover and move into their truest nature, purpose and potential!

Special Note!

This winter I am happy to welcome Stephanie Prall teaching a Morning Flow class on Monday mornings, Holli Harvey and Katrhy Baylis-Monteith teaching Pilates on Thursdays and Ann Kalat who will teach Beginning Meditation on Tuesdays beginning in February.  More information will follow.  For now, I am grateful and delighted to welcome these fine teachers to our practice at Crooked Tree!
